The plan also contains a separate STEM elective block. That gives you another set of choices, but approved subjects, course level and exclusions still apply. Before selecting a combination such as space systems, controls and signal processing, check the prerequisites and intended offering semester for each course. The catalog specifically warns that course availability may require a different final-year arrangement. NMSU electrical transfer rules and repeated courses

Engineering transfer work must satisfy NMSU's published accreditation requirement. Physics must be calculus based, and a course with a required laboratory needs a laboratory in the transferred equivalent. A transfer evaluation should therefore identify which specific requirements are complete, not only how many credits the university accepts overall.
