The former BSEE’s accreditation history does not establish the replacement degree’s status. Applicants should obtain the current decision for the exact BSECE before committing.

Why is UW Seattle listed as BSECE rather than BSEE?+
The department introduced the BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering for new entrants beginning in 2022. Its curriculum and accreditation statement belong to that replacement degree. The old BSEE label does not accurately describe the program a new applicant would enter.
Does UW engineering admission guarantee electrical and computer engineering?+
No. Direct to College students request major placement after the first year, and a guaranteed eligible engineering placement need not be ECE. Other current-student and transfer routes are capacity constrained; completing minimum prerequisites does not guarantee selection.
Is the reviewed Washington State bachelor’s degree online?+
